Capoeira is a dynamic blend of martial arts, acrobatics, rhythm, and community.
Training combines strength, mobility, and technique with music at its core. Kicks, takedowns, acrobatics, and defense are introduced step by step, while body control and coordination steadily improve.
In the roda—the traditional capoeira circle—participants meet in a safe and respectful space to play and spar. Music and song are integral, and classes often include practice with instruments like the berimbau and atabaque.
Capoeira is for everyone. You don’t need strength, flexibility, or musicality to start—it all comes with time.
**Good to know**
* The class is held at Nørrebro Lilleskole.
* Enter through the gate using a code—this will be provided upon booking. Walk through the schoolyard and down the stairs to the gym hall.
* There are no showers, changing rooms, or lockers. Arrive dressed and shower at home.
* Practice barefoot, wearing a t-shirt and loose pants. Indoor shoes are also allowed.
